We were on a 5 day camping trip with my son, his wife and 2 grand daughters first meal hamburger and hot dogs, the grill actually burnt up. We had a protable coleman grill for 20 years now and it finally dies we bought this one and the first night it caught on fire.....now we had to go to store buy carcoal and cook over campfire ring, kind of hard on Grandpa's back.....so disappointed in the quality of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by snowsims146 from HONEST REVIEW! This is a great for grilling on the right and heating up something in a pot on the left. Its lightweight, easy to use, and cooks fast! PLEASE READ: Most of these people who gave this a bad review because the grate on the right melted, don't know how to read directions. It specifically states on the cover not to put a pot over the grate on the right. You cook right on the grill on the right side of the Grill/Stove. The right is great for cooking burgers/steak/chicken/bacon/etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Campgirl from Nice job I bought this stove because I wanted one side to be able to put my coffee pot or a pan and the other side to cook food. It worked well. It is easy to light. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is that the temperature is a little hard to regulate. However, I think I will get used to it the more I use it. I also think the previous reviewers who put pots and pans on the griddle side contributed to the melting. I do not think you are supposed to do that. I had no trouble with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Grill melted severely under medium heat. This was only the second time I was using the grill portion of the stove. I was cooking a single pound of bacon in two batches with an aluminum griddle on top of the grate. This was at medium or lower heat as the bacon was not burning or cooking to fast and the heat was not on for an unusually long time. The griddle did not warp and it was not blocking the entire grill surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MariusS. from Super fast cooking! Used this Grill/stove for 3 days 3 times a day cooking for 4 adults and 4 kids. Instant start, extremely fast. If you use it as it was supposed to be used (not putting pans or pots on the grill) you will have no problem with it. I saw the melted grill pictures from the reviews and think it’s only wrongly use of the grill. Has fine gas adjustments that allows you just to keep the coffee warm if you want. Used 2 small gas tanks (1 lb) in this 3 days for all that cooking. I recommend it with confidence. Marius.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ron699 from Not like the old Coleman quality This is a great design having both a burner and grill all-in-one but it has many flaws. Very thin metal for starters. The threaded brass screw attachment for hooking the propane wand from tank to grill is too short making it somewhat difficult to screw onto the grill. The grill does not have a spark igniter so you must remove the cast iron piece to light the burner. No big deal except when the main flame blows out and you have to relight the burner. Now you have a hot grill with food on it that has to be removed to relight. Also, the cast iron grill feet should mount into holes in the base to keep it more secure. The cast iron slides very easy and can tip when not careful flipping a burger, etc. Bottom line, great design but somebody who built it never took it camping and used it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Semi-happy camper from Affordable, but maybe not worth it. Used this grill once for a camping trip and already the "Teflon" coating on the grate is flaking and chipping off. No metal used on it, and just a simple rinse with soap and water, and the coating is very thin and chipping away. I'm now nervous to put food near the areas that are flaking, and combined with the "hot spots" created by the burner, leaves little room to use as a grill surface. Overall the weather was not windy, but the foldable flaps to prevent the wind is a nice feature to expand the space. It did the job, and works ok, but not the greatest quality for the price. I would say save your money, or buy something else for the price range this one costs.
