Very nice grill. Great size very portable. Mine came with grill and griddle plates north work very well I take it tailgating and never had any issues. My only gripe is the latch that hold the lid closed doesn't work well. Best to use a bungee or strap

The engineering of removing the grease trap and requiring you to fill a water tray is horrible.
Makes it far more difficult to use this as a roadtrip grill.
however it is still a Coleman and the quality of cooking is still good so you only get 3 stars

We've bought three RoadTrip Grills from Coleman, but it seems like the product's quality has declined. While the latest purchase will serve its purpose until we invest in our permanent grill, we're hesitant to recommend this product to our loved ones.

Great quality!
We’ve had the exact grill for 8 years. It’s been all over the country with us, and it still works! We get a new one because ours was banged and dirty from overuse. I highly recommend this grill for everything from dying eggs to dozens of burgers!

This portable grill is easy to take with you on the go whether it’s for a camping trip, fishing trip or a tailgating adventure it’s easy to use. It does not take much assembly and is very easy to to clean. It cooks plenty of of food all one time.

Disappointed
Disappointed. We just received this grill and used for the first time today. After grilling our beef, we noticed black flakes in the bottom of the grill pan. We think it came off of the grates but not sure and hoping we didn’t ingest the flakes.

Poor design, pressure regulator not replaceable.
I use this grill for tailgating. The pressure regulator failed and unfortunately the regulator is an assembly with the three gas volume controls and igniter. A spare assembly is not available and according to Coleman the grill must be scrapped.

Great for camping
A week of camping and the grill performed perfectly. Could perform all cooking outdoors and keep the inside of the camper clean and neat. Would prefer Teflon coated aluminum grates instead of cast iron. Cast iron can be difficult to clean.

Cooks great and easy cleanup
I use my road trip 285 when camping in my trailer and everyone that has eaten from the meals I’ve cooked loved them plus clean up is so easy on all of the accessories I have with it. Coleman needs to come up with a bigger one for backyards.

Waste of money.
Poor assembly directions, poor design, poor ease of portability, poor operation in breeze, poor water tray concept for camping grille (must be on completely level surface to work properly), poor return policy (no returns after one use?!).

Coleman Propane grill, is great item in my opinion, while it use propane you can use everywhere, it cut comfortable small size, easy to clean, while it doesn’t use electricity, it is safe and not noise, so believe my great for family party

Bought it a little over a year ago. Worked great twice, then regulator went out. No eta on when replacement will be available so I threw away $300. Not buying Coleman again, which is a shame since they used to be THE name in camp stoves.

Absolutely Wonderful

Brand new grill returned
Unfortunately, I had to return this brand new grill because it would not light. I replaced the hose and the propane tank as well to no avail. When I called Coleman for assistance, they were unable to assist with the problem. Too bad.

They're ok
My original model lasted for a season, then the cheap rivet hinges broke off the cheap thin shell. I had to puch them out and use bolts and washers. One of the side shelves flew off and the cheap spring setup was bent up.

Luv mine ability to collapse and roll under camper or in back of pick up is ideal. Side tables are great feature. Gets very hot or can run on low for some slow cooking can find perfect temp with gauge on lid

No one at the factory bothered to tighten the screws inside the unit so upon lighting it burst out in flames though the control knobs. Nothing like a week of camping 500 miles from home with nothing to cook with

Coleman is horrible. I have a RoadTrip 225 Grill and they make it virtually impossible to buy replacement parts. I have tried to find the burner inside and it is not reflected anywhere on this terrible site.

Terrible
You are unable to close and lock the grill with the grates in. The entire point is to have a portable grill that you can roll anywhere and not have to carry greasy grates under your arms. Completely useless.
