Rated 1 out of 5 by ANGIE11 from Terrible BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I've tried 3 of these grills now and while they advertise that you can swap the tops and use it as a camp stove, IT WILL NOT BOIL WATER. I think it's because the stove tops do not sit close enough to the flames. Coleman will not give me my money back because I didn't buy directly from Coleman and now it's too late to return it to the store. Also, the lid of the 3rd one fell off after testing it twice. This product is terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pledesma from Great product! Wonderful grill! Very easy to assemble. They also sell covers specifically for it decently priced on Amazon , I bought one and it’s pretty great. It heats up pretty nicely. I made some hotdogs and some small burgers to put on slider buns, and both cooked very nicely! Only complaint I do have is that I wish it was a bit more non stick. There’s a couple spots that stuck on, but I was able to get it off with some grill cleaner and a scrub daddy. Also I was a little shocked that you have to put water in it while using it but it’s okay, not inconvenient, just surprised by it. But over all, it’s pretty great and I’d absolutely recommend it. You really cannot beat it for the price since it can be used at home or for travel even.

It's a great grill with plenty of cooking space for the entire camping group. It can be used out on the trail but it's a little too big for that and it rattles a lot on off road driving, but neither of those things are deal breakers for trail use. We've also used it for many weekend long lacrosse tournaments, it's great for this use. The only negative I could say is that the wheels are a little fragile and the bolt/axels have started to bend after a couple years of in and out of the Jeep and rolling to sites.

It was a little difficult to assemble, you need help and the tools that bring are not the best. It brings two grates that are very good and strong. You can only use a small disposable bottle of propane, it is very easy to carry because it folds and have two wheels. It has an electronic ignition and three control knobs, left, center and right. This grill is perfect for camping or for using in the backyard. You can cook vegetables or casseroles in ovenware. It is excellent for burgers and hot dogs too.

You can cook a variety of food and sides quickly. The design of it is great! It has wheels and legs that fold down so it’s easy and quick to set up and take with you anywhere! It’s great for a backyard bbq, camping, or a day out at the park! This is a propane grill so you don’t have to deal with fussy charcoal. It has an easy push start feature that’s very convenient. If you’re in the market for a smaller and portable propane grill I recommend this to everyone!

It's big enough for at home use but small enough to take with you on outings. I was impressed on how easy the legs collapsed for easy transport. The three different areas for flame was a bonus so that direct and indirect cooking could be accomplished. The slide out platforms on each side were convenient. I was so happy that it took the small propane container so you didnt have to lug a huge one around. This grill is a all around win.

This Coleman traveling grill is amazing, it's ran by propane and I was so grateful to get the chance to own this. We can't wait to use this on our traveling and camping trips. Its just like having a regular sized grill. We have owned one before and grilled some amazing food, like steaks, chicken breast, veggies and even used our kettles to have hot water for tea and other delicious drinks. I absolutely love our Coleman traveling grill. Thank you again influenster for this amazing opportunity.

The water tray system was a bit of a pain. If you moved it ever so slightly during cooking, oily water everywhere. The starter went pretty quickly and we were using a BBQ lighter by the second summer of using it. Now, our regulator has gone and they DO NOT sell the proper shaped replacement to fix it. I am so disappointed with this grill and we are huge fans of Coleman products in general. There are better models for this price point.

It’s easy to clean, you can fit enough food on it for multiple People and it cooks evenly. I’ve used more “higher” end grills and this one honestly blows them out of the water. Perk is that this can be brought anywhere. It doesn’t weigh much and it Folds up nicely.

I decided to purchase a ne Roadtrip 285 and very disappointed. The lid doesn't close all the way because it hits the grates causing strain on the hinges. I can see them hinges breaking soon opening and closing the lid while cooking. You can't even lock the latch. You must remove the grates in order to close the lid all the way. Design flaw or quality control? A friend of mine had the same issue. Come on Coleman!

It is so easy to set up and take down and fits perfectly in the back of my car without taking up all the space. It’s perfect for a trip to the lake, beach, or park as well as tailgating at football games or just around the house. I love that we no longer have to drive around to find an open grill on our outings. We just park and set up wherever we want to eat. It’s one hand set up and take down is so easy with no fuss. It has 3 separate burners that can be adjusted individually to cook multiple items. You can also buy additional cook tops to switch out the grill grates with a griddle or stove grate. The grill uses a 1lb propane tank that can be switched out easily so you never have to worry about the weather your cooking in putting your coals out. I definitely recommend everyone own one of these as it will also come in handy if you ever have a power outage at home you can just fire up the grill and make a hot, tasty meal right at home.

I took it out 3 times, and was pretty careful with it, and already one of the pull-out shelves have fallen off and one of the handles has come apart. I was expecting this thing to hold together a little longer than 3 trips. I doubt I will buy any more Coleman products after this experience. Disappointed!

Since then the grill act like its not getting enough gas to the burners. Tried contact someone a Coleman to get the replacement part for the regulator and no one will contact me. We did purchase another regulator but still it acts like its not getting enough fuel. Wish someone would contact me about the replacement regulator.

It’s easy to tuck away in your car for easy transport or to put away for end of season. I love how you can grill on it or switch it up and use the griddle for all your veggies and sides, it has 3 independently burners. I can grill steak and cook my vegetables at the same time. It’s extremely easy to use, just push the instastart ignition for matchless lighting, and adjust the heat with enhanced temperature control.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cam B from Needs improvement Overly cumbersome and cheap materials. The wheels are a joke, made of plastic, won’t hold up long term given the weight of the unit. Also mine didn’t bolt in securely all the way. The locking mechanism is very flimsy, looks like an after thought. It kicks open and closes easily, so that’s good. Overall it’s too heavy and strangely shaped to be easily portable. The fact that the cast iron grill panels don’t lock or clamp to the inside makes me scared to roll it around with them inside. Not well thought out, needs more time in the design room.

We have cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoy having the interchangeable grill surfaces for cooking various foods and the carry case helps keep all of it safe and stowed away during transport to and from the camp site. Only gripe is the wheels became loose and wobbly, making it hard to maneuver.

I finally have the opportunity to get back to camping so I assembled it and took it on our first trip. Used it a total of 3 times and very disappointed. The “water tray” is already rusting and paint peeling despite being thoroughly cleaned and dried after each use. Despite having 3 burners, each individually controlled, temperature regulation is nearly impossible as it heats to 400 degrees with just a single side burner on low. I’ve camped and owned Coleman products my entire life, at least 80% of my current gear is Coleman, but this product and it’s quality is a disgrace to the name. Very disappointed

Then when I closed it/collapsed it the mechanism broke, so I know have to have a bungee cord to keep it closed. Then the next time I laid it kinda hard on the ground and the wheels broke off. Now, it's more pain than anything. This is my first Coleman and not sure I'll buy a new another one

What a waste of money the unit does not stay lit if it stay lit flickers constantly. When the wind blows the flame blows out. I guess you can’t use on windy days. I purchased this in July the unit is covered and is already rusting. I had previous Webber grill never had problem at old house. Just a big mistake this grill

I also bought the griddle too which we use on one half of the grill and the other half we use the regular grate- which means you can do so many things at once. Coffee, steaks, breakfast, anything can be cooked on this grill! It folds down and locks in place so you can wheel it anywhere. It is on the heavier side but it’s definitely sturdy and well built. I’ve dropped mine on accident, everything is still working perfectly. great for tailgating things, would definitely recommend!

I called the customer service number and it took 1 1/2 hours waiting for them to answer. I was told that a new part would be mailed, which never happened. I ended up stopping payment on my credit card after emailing them twice. Still haven’t heard back.

This is the perfect portable grill to have in your possession. It's going to last a long time, easy to clean, and the propane grill has three burners, push-button ignition, and a slide-out shelf. It has a 285-square-inch cooking area and the three adjustable burners can create up to 20,000 BTUs. It also has a large drip pan, side tables that can slide in and out and fold flat, sturdy collapsible legs, and two wheels for easy pulling. I love it

After I assembled the legs and inserted the grills I noticed that the lid lock sits to high and to far away from the locking slot to latch the lid closed? It works if I remove the grill grates . Am I supposed to remove the grates lock the lid?

Now we no longer camp, I am now a widow and this grill is still perfect. Not only is it the right size for just me but also for when I have company. But the greatest feature, to me, is the fact that it operates on a 1 pound propane bottle and I can handle that. My grill has a lot of miles on it, a lot of hamburgers on it and hopefully a lot more to go. I recently bought the griddle and now I cook breakfast on the grill as well as many vegetables.

We really love the ease of portability, it really makes it an easy choice for us to take it places such as beaches, parks, on trips, weekend getaway’s. Especially when you can just fold it flat and wheel it to your destination and it does fold flat and wheel with ease. This little grill also cooks well, the heat distribution is excellent! It’s also easy to clean, you can take it apart or wipe it down. I appreciate the little propane tanks, they are so convenient.

We grill a lot and have a HUGE grill that takes a lot of wood to get it going! We definitely something smaller for when it’s just the two of us. It was easy to assemble. It cooked great. We got a bottle of propane and had it going in a snap. Delicious steaks on the deck for the win. This grill is light weight with wheel and folds down for easy portability. I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can take it to the beach! Definitely worth it!

The Swaptop Carry Case for the Coleman RoadTrip grill accessories can hold two cooktops at a time, this includes any combination of half griddles, stove grates, or grill plates. So unfortunately, it cannot store all three cooktops (2 grates and 1 griddle) simultaneously inside the main compartment.
