Rule the campground, park, or the parking lot when you fire up your Coleman® RoadTrip® X-cursion™ Propane Grill. This portable grill with collapsible steel scissor legs and a low-profile design make moving it around as easy as flipping a burger, while the rugged, off-road wheels handle almost any terrain. Once you're at your grill site, 285 sq. in. of porcelain-coated, cast iron grills are waiting for anything you can throw at them. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as previous versions This grill is ok. I had a previous version of this product for about 15 years, and I loved it very much. However, the burners eventually failed, so I purchased this model. I quickly realized it wasn't the same. The original model had two side-tables that you could draw out. They were flimsy, but the design was compact, and they were below the grill surface. This model has a single bolted on side-table, and because it is at the level of the grill things tend to slide into the flame. The previous version was very hard to clean. This grill has a plastic tray that you must fill with water. The grease mostly floats on the water, making it easier, but keeping it filled with water presents its own hassle. On the plus side, the flame is hot and fairly even and works well for grilling.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't find Parts Got this grill less than a year ago. It worked great for about 6 months when the left burner wouldn't get hot. Now both burners light but the flame is so weak it won't get hot. Unable to find any replacement parts for the burner or regulators.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Legs are different sizes, base is not level Base is very uneven. Legs are different lengths. Impossible to adjust. The towing handle buttons snap into right leg (making it much longer than left leg). I believe wrong towing handle was sent. Awaiting response from customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use This grill was easy to assemble and very easy to light. You'll need to get the propane separately. It folds down into a compact item making it very easy to move and store. I like that the feet are easily removed because it makes it even easier to store or pack. It is a little heavy but the wheels help and it has a handle on each side. I really love the attached tool for lighting with a match. It keeps your fingers from being burned! It's fairly sturdy and looks great. It was big enough to comfortably grill 8 average sized burgers or 5-6 steaks (depending on the size of the steak). The middle area of the grill is closed which is perfect for items that can fall through a grill. Overall a very nice addition to our camping gear but we also intend to use it for tailgating and all day swim meets!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Replacement Parts! I have only had this grill for one year and the regulator has failed. You can not find a replacement for this grill. Basically I have a really cool looking grill just sitting in my shed. Not what I expect from a Coleman product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gor camping and backyard I recently got the Coleman Xcursion Stand-Up 285 Propane Grill, and it's been a fantastic addition to my outdoor cooking setup. The foldable stand with wheels makes it super easy to transport, and setting it up is a breeze. The three adjustable burners give great heat control, and the grilling surface is spacious enough for a solid cookout. It heats up quickly and distributes heat evenly, which I appreciate. The build feels sturdy, though the grease management system could be a bit better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality Control Please! This is our second Roadtripper grill. We loved our first one and decided to get one for our son-in-law as a gift. Pre assembled leg section literally came backwards from the factory. We assembled the grill exactly per instructions and couldn’t figure out why it tilted. My husband finally measured distance between pivot points/bolts and realized the problem. We disassembled leg section and reassembled correctly. Unfortunately we didn’t solve until after a slightly frustrating camping trip!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No replacement parts It was a good grill until it wasn’t. I had this grill for around a year until the brass knob under the plastic gas knob broke off while transporting the grill in the back of my truck. It’s a little’s just a brass screw that hold the knob that the plastic knob sits on in place. Now it leaks gas out of where that knob sat. I called Colman and told them what happened and to see if the sell any replacements. I was told no they don’t have that part for sell. Now i just have a $300 paperweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and thought out Other than being able to put the legs on 3 different ways before I got it right LOL the unit is solid. The drip pan when water is used as directed cleans up easy, as for the cast iron grill awesome it holds the heat and when the meat is ready to release it will do that cleanly. Helpful hint to the grilling impaired, as far as cleanup on the cast iron...Use cooking spray and cleanup will be no problem, same with the drip pan spray with cooking spray add the water to the fill line and presto easy up easy down. Great car camping stove and for all around gatherings in general. I would recommend this product to everyone except for the faint of heart, it is weighty about 45 lbs. but that makes for a very stable platform if it should get breezy although it probably could stand in a hurricane as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality, Powerful BTU's, Durable, Ease of Use Very convenient, high quality, durable, 20,000 BTU's, Super easy to use and transport. Quality cast iron grill plates not cheap wire grill plates. X-Frame allows for cable lock down if necessary. Slide out end plates on boths ides for plates/utensils. Dual burners with dual controls. Very convenient small propane tank holder. Propane inlet also allows for laregnr tank w/hose hook up if you use stationary on back patio. Nice color, not black like most grills. High quality thick enamel lid coating. Super Value (price vs quality) versus $400 Charbroil grills, which are cheaply made now days. I also purchased the grill cover, which is also high quality and is a total enclosure, zipper cover, not a slip over cover like most grill covers. This grill, is the BEST bang for your buck on the market today !!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perfect for traveling! Very hard to clean though I live in an apartment and this little grill was exactly what I needed. I can break it down and store it with ease and it uses the tiny 1 lb bottles. I also camp and this has changed the way I cook out on trips. I've owned it for a couple of years now and I enjoy it a lot. I am going to purchase the griddle top today, actually. My only complaints are that the grease trap is difficult to deal with out in the field. I will try using foil to line the trap as others have recommended. Also, there are no replacement parts. The side table/handle cracked and it is a primary holding point. The way it broke there is no way for me to tape it. 3/5 stars because for a travel grill it is pretty fragile and there are no replacement parts to purchase. Willing to change review if I can obtain a replacement side table/handle

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but doesn’t stand right The grill works well, but it doesn’t sit level because the towing handle with the plastic feet seems to not be the correct one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Workhorse Great grill, can't beat them. I've had these types of grills for years. I cook for 15-20 people throughout the summer, and quickly. I've cooked bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns and burgers on the griddle, and everything you can think of on the grill. I put them through a lot they shouldn't be. These go through snow, rain, bouncing around in a truck bed or under a camper. They can be broken, but it's pretty hard. I've hit two of them with a 5th wheel hitch and they just keep going. I've never had an igniter quick on me, the stand always works, the wheels stay on, the grills don't rust or break. It is easy to clean up after a season of caked on grease and food. I typically give my old one away every few years, still working, to get a newer model. My original one from several years back is still working at my uncle's.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Replacement parta The grill works well but the drip trays only last 1-2 years and you can't get any replacements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Showstopper! Coleman’s grills have long been a staple in my family for camping, and I feel like I’ve just upgraded to the premier model with this Roadtrip X-Cursion grill. I LOVE how it compact it is after folding up. It is heavier than I had expected, but it is still quite mobile being on wheels. While it is still too early for camping here, I have used it in my own yard, as well as transported it to my family’s small barbecue gathering. The grill was ample hot and even throughout. Food tasted great and was cooked to our satisfaction. Cleanup wasn’t too much of a hassle, and after cooling, it was easily packed up and transported home. This grill was definitely the talk of our barbecue, with many compliments on its design and quality. I am very happy with this grill and look forward to using it a lot more as the weather gets warmer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My kind of grill I bought this to use when we go camping in our camper. It folds down flat for storage but will pop back up in seconds whenever you want it. I have the burner and griddle accessories and also the long hose so i can use a bigger propane tank. The burner is a must have and the griddle makes fantastic pancakes, but I use it mostly for bacon. It takes too long for the pancakes because it’s not that big. I really do love and since we camp alot, it gets alot of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tailgating grill Worked great for tailgating at the UofM v MSU game; very portable, easy to setup and use; cooked burgers and dogs, everything turned out great; one minor issue, the connecting screws for the side board were all stripped on arrival, had to replace with longer screws and that worked fine; would have liked a more solid side board material, but this is by far the best option for a portable grill for tailgating! Love it, would recommend it, would buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great, sturdy portable grill This grill is a nice portable grill. It is very sturdy and easy to travel with. It sets up easy as well. IGNORE THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE LEGS BEING UNEVEN OR THE LID NOT CLOSING!! Those reviews were done by someone who obviously could not follow instructions. Had they flipped the leg with the feet and put the feet on the other end, like the instructions specifically state, the grill would stand as it should. The lid will close just fine as long as you properly secure the drip tray, that the grates sit on, all the way down. The drip tray edge is suppose to sit tight over the lip of the lower grill body. You can tell from their pictures that they did not assemble it correctly. This is a great grill and should not have the negative reviews based on other people's lack of following instructions and/or their own poor assembly of the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made This was for our lake condo. We wanted something we could clean easily and store in our storage shed to prevent rust. Product is well made and easy to assemble and is very mobile. Break in according to directions and be aware that it is probably going to be hotter than what you are used to. Cook on a little lower temperature until you get the hang of it. I assembled mine yesterday and cooked hamburgers as a trial. Way too hot at the beginning!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Latch does not work I bought for my camper, and thought it would work well for our camping trips. However the latch does not work when the grill plates on in, so I cannot move it without the lid opening. I have to use a ratchet strap to keep the lid closed when traveling. I am currently on week three of a customer complaint process trying to get a refund, or a new grill that can be latched. Horrible customer service so far and the product does not work as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my RV This grill fits nicely on my RV. There is typically limited storage space on RVs and the want to use each square-inch efficiently is paramount. This grill folds down and fits into the storage bay perfectly. Even nicer is that there hasn't been a meal that we've had on the road that it wouldn't handle. It provides the heat, the cooking area and convenience for each meal, be that Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly Portable We received this grill in exchange for our review. We got the grill in the mail and immediately went to set up. That part was quite simple and the grill is a great size for our family of 4 while not being too large. It cooks like a dream! We have tested it out a few times in preparation for our upcoming camping trip. I love the portability as it will fit nicely in the back of the truck along with all of our other essentials!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Need a Refund This has been the worst experience with a Coleman grill. I had a previous version and loved it. This grill doesn't come with the grease catcher like a previous model. It caught on fire and burned off the whole side handle. Why you would place a plastic handle on this gas grill is beyond me. For what i paid I wont be able to use it again. Please either send me a new one and I will return this grill or give me a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NEW GRILL--- DON'T WASTE your time or MONEY I am BEYOND upset & disappointed in my new grill! My first grill I got an email stating they were working on it and sorry for the delay. When I got it, finally, it was damaged & missing parts! I reported it to Coleman sent some pictures & they sent a new grill. I was happy, UNTIL I GOT IT!!! It too was missing parts!! How does this happen?? I LOVED my OLD Coleman grill. I was sad when I had to get rid of it last year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy assembly! I have to first start off by saying, assembly was easy peasy. The instructions are not hard to follow and really detailed. The grates on this thing are NOT CHEAP! They are heavy like cast iron and easy to clean off. The lid locks so nothing falls out on transition to flat so you can roll, it is a smooth roll. I like that it uses the small propane tanks. We are going to take this on all of our outdoor excursions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for road trip We practically spend all our weekends either camping ,fishing or grilling .This grill is perfect since it’s easy to carry around ,not heavy even I can lift it & I love the wheels and how easy it can be set up & how it fits small space in our car .Above all it comes with a lid which keeps the dust away & the food cooked fast .I am so loving it & it’s the best for any both family's who loves outdoor and indoor .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother We were given the road trip grill as an early wedding present and used it 4 times since June. I've wanted one for a couple of years and I couldn't be more disappointed. Three huge chunks of enamel are already missing, one of the slide out sides quite sliding out and cracked because we were trying to slide it out, and the burners cook so unevenly. The enamel continues to chip behind one of the hinges.
