Coleman 5 -gallon solar shower
Boondocking and hot water!! I’ve had my Coleman 5 gallon solar shower for just over 10 years. One of the better purchases I have made. Make sure you place the black side to the ground, clear side up to the sky and usually have hot water within an hour! Always check the temperature before using though. Sometimes it can get to hot:(. My only con about the solar shower is that when it is full it is just to hard ti hang it from anything for your shower. I put it onto of my truck topper. The hose is a few feet long which works perfect for me. I’m 5’4. I recommend Coleman solar shower for anyone. Not just boondockers!

I use on my property that connects with my mom's property. I slept in my van on my land this summer and this portable shower is useful for showering, handwashing and cleaning containers. I recommend hangng as high as possible so that the nozzle is positioned, and you do not have to bend over to allow the water to flow over your body. I flll the bag. I transport to my sunny showering spot. The handle could be stronger so carry with caution. The sun does its thing. Later, I take a nice, warm soapy shower. If you can, find a permanent, sunny place to hang your shower. Then hang the empty bag. Next, fill with water. Use when you are ready. Repeat because the shower is reusable

Yeah, No.
I bought this shower bag to take on a camping trip. Used it once over 4 days, then opted for the cold shower instead. Besides leaking, and once filled, it is much too heavy to lift to hang high enough to try and get under it. That’s the weight of the water, I get it. If only the hose could come out of the top instead of the bottom!! Also the hose is very flimsy and kinks, making it impossible to ‘shower’ underneath it without sitting down! I left it at the campsite with best wishes to whomever wanted it. I will say, however, that my order was shipped promptly by Coleman. No complaints about them!

Good but not great
Good but not great: the handle for hanging is sturdy—reinforced by wood, which is a definite plus. But, the nozzle on/off is very difficult to open and close, especially with wet & soapy hands. A valve would be a MUCH better control. The fill port cap is VERY easy to dislodge so when heating a near full bag in the sun, the bag needs to be propped upright to avoid the cap coming off—suggest a SCREW fill port cap to prevent this from happening. I would not buy this again due to these fairly significant problems, but will continue to use until the bag wears out.

Affordable, durable for a bit
Works excellent for the first ten showers until the score lines along the upper bag horizontal with its handle begin separating. I am stuck in the woods having to improvise a means to hold the solar shower for washing and I only have a casting net that may suffice. A product improvement might include a holding apparatus and or the product redesigned with a beefier material along the area that failed here. Otherwise it's be 5 stars (price and convenience)

Disappointing design for cleaning
It works functionally well all around. My BIGGEST complaint is that it’s basically impossible to dry. Why on earth would I want my shower to sit with water in it and get moldy? This shouldn’t be a single use product. I had to put paper towels on chopsticks to wipe it out through the tiny port, alternating between that and the mattress air pump to blow air inside. It would not be that hard to add a ziploc-type fastener: do better.

It's a must for camping
Our family spends the majority of our summer camping, coleman is the brand we automatically go to when purchasing camping equipment. We own an RV, so we have access to water, however this solar bag is an absolute must on our trips, it's easy to store and takes up very little space which is a huge plus. I hang the solar bag up outside to allow the water to warm up in the sunshine. It is the perfect camping hack, anytime we need to wash our hands it available and warm, my husband likes to fish to its a life saver for him. I will rinse off dishes after we eat then take them inside to wash. If you have kids, you know how often one of them will need to wash their hands. It saves our tank inside the RV from getting filled quickly from simple wash up tasks. It's extremely durable and well made, we have owned ours for 3 years now and it's still in perfect shape. This is one thing I would be lost without.

Super handy portable shower
If you’ve never use these portable shower shower, you have not found the one. This is exceptionally wonderful especially it. Saves you trip to the river. You get to put river water in there or whatever water you happen to get this can just hook up to the side of your truck or you can have it standstill below a tree of some sort to be able to rinse yourself off.

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Drying our portable camping solar shower, 5 Gallons, involves ensuring that both the shower bag and its components are completely dry before storage. First, drain the Water, and rinse the Inside. Fill the shower bag with clean water, swish it around, and then drain it to remove any remaining soap or debris. Inflate the Bag: Inflate the shower bag slightly to allow air circulation inside. You can do this by blowing air into it or using a small air pump. Hang the Shower Bag: Hang the shower bag upside down with the cap and nozzle open in a well-ventilated area. This will help the water to drain out completely and allow air to circulate inside the bag. Drying the Components: Remove the shower hose and nozzle, and let them air dry separately. Shake off any excess water and leave them in a dry, sunny spot or a well-ventilated area. Wipe the Exterior: Wipe down the exterior of the shower bag with a dry cloth to remove any moisture. Lastly, allow Time to Dry: leave the shower bag and components to dry for several hours or overnight. Ensure they are completely dry before storing.
